On Sunday Philippe Gilbert showed us again that he has set a brilliant season this year as he won another of the spring Classics – Amstel Gold Race. This victory is even more valuable for him since it is the fourth time he crossed the finish line as the winner. The previous wins he got in 2010, 2011 and 2014. Quick –Step Floors Cycling Team sent again a very strong team to cope with 261 km and 35 hills. Although Gilbert was among the riders who hit the deck, he went on smoothly. The beginning of the last hill – Bemelerberg decided the races, where Kwiatkowski started to lead and it was Gilbert who was the only one to be able to join him. It was clear from that breakaway that these two would fight for the winner. In the final 300 meters Kwiatkowski went into the lead and it looked that he was going to win. But speed and Gilbert´s determination convinced us otherwise and at finish we saw Phillip lifting his arm up showing four, as an indication of his fourth victory in these races.
