One may think that we “only” sponsor the cycling team Etixx – Quick – Step and we have nothing to do with cycling. The reverse is true. I dare say that we are an exception to the sponsors who also go in for cycling actively and go to support cyclists on races as well. And this time there was no difference either. Over the weekend we went to support Etixx guys in GIRE, ITALY and in person we also made a nice cycling tour of the part of the royal´s stage. What the cyclists pulled off within one day, we divided into two days. The first load was Sella Ronda with a short warm up into a little village Pieve di Livinallongo. We did make four pretty decent rises and as a reward we got really spectacular views of the peaks – passo Pordoi, passo Sella, passo Gardena and passo Campolongo. Those who have already been there, they do know what I am writing about. The second day we looked ahead of the heavy hill to Passo Giau with 29 tornante (a turn). Alongside the hill people already came to get the best possible place to cheer. The rise gave several cyclists a hard time, a few just flew over us, the moments we were in awe and the question we asked ourselves was where they got so much energy from. After all cyclists had passed through, we pedalled up to the top of the hill and we made an amazing downhill towards Cortina and from there we went on cycling the final rise to passo Falzarego. From that place we were only enjoying the long downhill and last kilometres back to Arabba.
Cycling is not an easy sport at all and therefore we display our admiration for each cyclist conquering hard kilometres. Each and every victory in cycling is well deserved.
