Cycling season is approaching its climax and for Etixx – Quick – Step it has brought outstanding results. Over the recent racing days, almost every day we have taken a position on winners´ podium. Here´s a quick recap since the early September:
The September 1st Saturday (03.09.2016) Tom Boonen showed off with his fast legs as he conquered classic in Belgium known as „Brussels Cycling Classic 2016“.
The next day, on Sunday (04.09.2016) Marcel Kittel, a brilliant sprinter, showed off on GP de Fourmies. On a perfect day for sprinters he gave his rivals no chance and he stood on winners´ podium to claim the lead.
Gianluca Brambilla spent one of the most amazing feelings of his cycling career on 15stage of Vuelta, as he had enough power left to be the first to cross the finish line.
Tour of Britain races are also held parallel to Vuelta, though not as hard, riders have to fight for taking the best places possible. On Monday (05.09.2016) Julien Vermote came first and thus got into the lead of general classification. Daniel Martin took third place.
Yet, several races remain till the season is over, including European Championship and World Championship, so we will see how many top positions Etixx will take.
