Over the extended weekend Championships in road cycling were held across Europe and this was also the case in Slovakia and the Czech republic. This time Slovakia and the Czech republic road cycling championships were held in Žiar nad Hronom, where we could see both the Slovak and Czech elite. Riders had seven rounds ahead of them and just right at the stat there was a breakaway in which also two Quick – Step Floors Cycling Team riders appeared. Zdenek Stybar did confirm to be in excellent shape and he soloed to be the winner after making 193 km. Peter Vakoč spurted 3rd from the breakaway group. All year round Stybar is thus to wear the Czech National Title jersey.
Bob Jungels also won the Luxemburg National Championships, it is the fourth time in his career.
