Belgrade Energy Forum is a major event focused on energy transformation and sustainable energy development in South Eastern Europe. The conference is attended annually by a number of experts, including energy ministers, CEOs of energy companies, investors, financial institutions and technology providers. The aim of the forum this year was again to discuss geopolitical influences on the energy sector as well as energy strategies, decarbonisation and the development of renewable energy projects, as well as progress in the field of energy storage.
Janom Investments was also a partner of the Belgrade Energy Forum 2024. Among more than 50 speakers from different countries, our experts also took part in a panel discussion about accelerating energy storage, challenges, solutions and perspectives.
According to Janom Investments, clear and predictable laws and regulations, openness and communication of TSOs and regulators with investors and other stakeholders are particularly important for investors in the field of battery storage, and local partners with local knowledge are also essential for foreign investors.
In this aspect, the Belgrade Energy Forum was the ideal platform for networking and forging strategic partnerships, which are key to accelerating energy transformation projects in the Balkans.
The region of South Eastern Europe has a great potential in the deployment of renewable energy sources and also represents an interesting investment opportunity for Janom Investments. In addition to the investment in Croatian Slavonia, which we have already announced, we are also evaluating other wind and photovoltaic projects that can be ultimately beneficial for the entire region. Janom Investments is investing in renewables and the development and installation of battery storage throughout Europe and we will be happy to see our know-how finding its way to the Western Balkan countries.
