Wattstor Ltd, a cutting-edge energy technology company, is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephan Marty as new Chief Executive Officer.
With over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, Stephan is joining Wattstor with the mission to take advantage of the company’s leading expertise and technology and turn it into the market leader for optimisation of batteries, distributed energy resources and smart loads in increasingly smart and renewables-driven behind-the-meter environments. Wattstor’s energy management technology and well-integrated battery storage assets already empower commercial, industrial and local energy community sites to optimise on-site energy resources for maximum sustainability and economic impact.
Stephan joins Wattstor from his role as Chief Commercial Officer at Kiwi Power where he was at the forefront of UK energy storage development as well as being responsible for setting up and running Kiwi’s global Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business. He has extensive experience in the distributed energy resources space as well as in entering markets and growing businesses to a leading position.
Commenting on the announcement, Stephan said: “I am very excited to join the dynamic team at Wattstor in their quest to make a difference by combating climate change and making energy costs more affordable. I have been in the energy industry for a long time and we have seen dramatic change over the last decade. However this was nothing compared to the change that still has to happen over the next 10-20 years to fulfil our society’s goal of becoming CO2 neutral. Wattstor is very well placed to play a key role in these exciting times ahead of us and I am looking forward to contribute to its success.”
